Andreas Vollenweider

Andreas Vollenweider was born on October 4, 1953 in Thalwil, Switzerland. He carved his own path in music early on, achieving success in the 1970s with projects like "Poesie & Musik" featuring works by Heinrich Heine and Pablo Neruda. His unique harp technique and distinctive sound captivated audiences, showcased at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1981.

Establishing himself globally, Vollenweider performed sold-out tours at renowned venues like Radio City Music Hall, Universal Amphitheatre, and the Palladium. His accolades include a Grammy Award, World Music Award, and the Swiss Music Awards' "Award for Outstanding Achievement." While stepping back in recent years to focus on writing his first novel, "Im Spiegel der Venus," and composing his latest album, "Quiet Places," Vollenweider released a new work on October 2, 2020, reaffirming his timeless musical prowess and exceptional artistry.
