Biography

Andrea Motis' latest project, Loopholes, was released on March 18, 2022, with premieres scheduled at Guitar BCN Festival in Barcelona on May 5 and at Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid on May 8. Departing from her usual style, Andrea explores funk, electric jazz, and neo-soul in this album, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences such as Robert Glasper, Jack Johnson, Fats Waller, the Blues, and Latin American folklore.

Co-produced by Christoph Mallinger and Steph Kondert, Loopholes features a talented lineup including Mallinger on guitar, violin, and mandolin, Kondert on bass, Big Yuki on keyboards, Gregory Hutchinson on drums, Zé Luis Nascimento on percussion, and Raja Kassis on guitar. Their collaborative efforts have shaped the album's distinct sound and character, blending various musical elements to create a unique listening experience.
