Biography

For two decades, Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning anamē, a project born from their shared passion for music and dedication to their dreams. Beginning their journey at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Swedish and Norwegian duo found common ground in their admiration for artists like Sasha and early Tiësto, as well as labels such as Strictly Rhythm and Defected. Despite challenges like family commitments and living in different countries, their bond remained strong, leading to their collaboration on various tracks under the anamē moniker.

Their anamē adventure kicked off in 2022 on Anjunabeats, where they worked on emotionally charged songs with Above & Beyond, Marty Longstaff, BLR, and Robbie Rise. The duo also put their unique spin on classics like Lostep’s ‘Burma’ and ‘Tears From The Moon’ by Conjure One and Sinéad O’Connor. With the release of their debut album ‘Beautiful World’ on September 1, featuring singles like ‘Anywhere (Road Trippin’), ‘Someone We Used To Love’, and ‘Must Be Dreaming’, Marcus and Thomas showcase their talent and deep connection to music.
