Biography

Santiago Matías, also known as Alofoke, is a Dominican radio host, producer, record producer, celebrity interviewer, and businessman. Born on December 8, 1981 in El Capotillo, Distrito Nacional, Dominican Republic, he began his professional music career in 2000 as a backing vocalist for the famous Dominican rapper Vakero. Witnessing the lack of coverage for Urbano music in the Dominican media during his tours, Matías founded AlofokeMusic in 2006, a media group dedicated to promoting Urbano music artists in the country.

AlofokeMusic initially started as a website focusing on the underground rap scene, rapidly gaining thousands of daily visitors. This success led Matías to shift his focus from rapping to interviewing and writing about Urban artists. In 2013, he launched the Alofoke Radio Show, a talk show that interviews Urbano music celebrities, broadcast on Power 103.7 FM and later on KQ 94.5 FM. That same year, he founded the Fuse Music record label and signed the Dominican-American artist.
