Throughout his extensive musical career, this popular giant has excelled as an accordionist, singer, composer, producer, and showman with undeniable excellence. Not only does he boast an extensive, diverse discography, but he also holds the distinction of being the only Colombian accordionist to have been crowned king at the Festival de la Leyenda Vallenata three times, an annual event held in Valledupar, Colombia, and a two-time champion in Germany.

Known for his strong personality and nicknamed both "The Rebel of the Accordion" and "The Monster of the Accordion," he is recognized for his innate genius that has allowed him to excel as an accordionist, singer, composer, producer, arranger, and mentor to other artists. Currently, he has released a new version of "Majagual" featuring lyrics and a collaboration with Dolcey Gutiérrez titled "Cantinero Sirva Trago," as part of his ongoing tour "El Prodigio," which this year will focus on countries such as the United States and Europe.
