Biography

Alexi Murdoch, a British-born multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, divides his time between New York, Montreal, Reykjavik, and a remote house in Scotland where he writes music and tends to his wooden sailing boat. He has self-released two albums and a soundtrack, with his debut album, "Time Without Consequence," becoming widely known for its numerous film and television placements. His music was prominently featured in the 2009 film "Away We Go," directed by Sam Mendes and written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida.

In 2011, Murdoch released his third album, "Towards the Sun," and embarked on sold-out concert tours in Europe and North America, playing at prestigious venues like London's Union Chapel and Lincoln Center's American Songbook series. He began working on a new recording project in Montreal in 2014.
