Alcione is a renowned Brazilian singer with a successful career spanning several decades. She has achieved 19 gold records and two platinum records, and has toured extensively in countries such as the U.S., Japan, Portugal, and Argentina. Known for hits like "Não Deixe o Samba Morrer" and "Gostoso Veneno," Alcione's musical journey began at a young age under the guidance of her father, a conductor in Maranhão. She moved to Rio de Janeiro at 20 and later toured Europe for two years in the early 1970s. Alcione's debut single in Brazil was released in 1972, followed by her first LP, "A Voz do Samba," in 1975, which earned her a gold record.

In 1978, Alcione hosted a TV show named after her LP "Alerta Geral" and continued to make significant contributions to the music scene.
