Albert Collins

Albert Collins, a pioneering blues guitarist known as "The Master of the Telecaster," passed away at the age of 61 on November 24, 1993, after battling liver cancer. Born in Leona, TX, on October 1, 1932, Collins made a name for himself with his unique guitar style and energetic live performances. He rose to fame in the 1960s with hits like "Frosty" and continued to influence musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and Robert Cray throughout his career.

Collins signed with Alligator Records in 1977, releasing several acclaimed albums before joining Virgin Records' Pointblank subsidiary in 1989.
