Biography

Hailing from Liverpool, England, the electro-pop band A Flock of Seagulls gained initial success in the USA before later finding a strong fan base in Britain. Led by Mike Score, the original lineup included Ali Score, Paul Reynolds, and Frank Maudsley. Their debut album in 1982, featuring hits like 'I Ran (So Far Away)', propelled them to fame in the US, although subsequent albums failed to replicate this success. The band went through lineup changes and periods of disbandment, with Mike Score reviving the group multiple times over the years.

Despite lineup changes and periods of disbandment, A Flock of Seagulls, led by Mike Score, continued to perform and release music into the new millennium. The original lineup briefly reunited for the VH1 series Bands Reunited in 2003, but the band ultimately saw various members retire from music, leaving Score to carry on under the A Flock of Seagulls name with a new lineup.
