A.CHAL, the Peruvian-born artist also known as Alejandro Chal, blends moody electronic R&B with psychedelic experimental soundscapes and hard-hitting rhythms, seamlessly switching between English and Spanish. After moving to Queens, New York at a young age, he honed his skills in music, eventually relocating to Los Angeles in 2010 to further his career. With the release of his debut EP "Ballroom Riots" in 2013 and the success of his single "Round Whippin'" in 2015, A.CHAL garnered critical acclaim and caught the attention of Sony, leading to his debut album "Welcome to GAZI" in 2016.
In 2019, A.CHAL signed with Epic Records following the commercial success of his hits "Love & Henessy" and "000000," but later parted ways with the label in 2021 to refocus on his authentic sound. Recording across various cities, he crafted his most personal and transcendent record yet, titled "ESPÍRITU," between 2021 and 2023, showcasing a deep exploration of his influences and experiences.
