7 Year Bitch

7 Year Bitch, influenced by the Seattle punk band The Gits and their vocalist Mia Zapata, emerged as a fierce presence in the American indie punk scene. Formed by Selene Vigil, Stefanie Sargent, Valerie Agnew, and later joined by Elizabeth Davis, the band's aggressive sound gained attention with their debut single in 1990 and subsequent signing with C/Z Records. Tragically, Sargent passed away just before the release of their first album, leading to Roisin Dunne stepping in as the new guitarist. Following the murder of Mia Zapata in 1993, 7 Year Bitch paid tribute with their album ¡Viva Zapata!, before signing with Atlantic and releasing Gato Negro in 1996.
