Biography

Formed in the early '80s, 7 Seconds is a hardcore punk band from Reno, NV, later relocating to Sacramento. Frontman Kevin Seconds has been the only consistent member, with guitarist Bobby Adams, drummer Troy Mowat, and bassist Steve Youth joining during the mid-'80s. The band released several 7" singles before signing to Better Youth Organization in 1982, leading to the release of three LPs culminating in their standout album, Walk Together, Rock Together. Over the years, 7 Seconds moved between labels, including Restless and Headhunter, before signing with Epic in 1995 for The Music, the Message. By 1999, they returned to an indie label, releasing their 13th LP, Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over! Kevin Seconds also pursued side projects and solo efforts throughout the band's career.
