Biography

1995 is a French battle rap crew inspired by the hip-hop era of 1990s. Comprising five rappers - Alpha Wann, Areno Jaz, Fonky Flav', and Sneazzy West, along with DJ Lo - the collective was initially founded by Wann and Jaz as P.O.S. before evolving to pay homage to 1990s hip-hop. Their debut single "Dans Ta Résso" gained millions of views on YouTube, followed by "Hi Haters," solidifying their position in the battle rap scene. Signing a distribution deal with Universal, their second EP, La Suite, reached number eight on the charts, leading to the release of their debut album, Paris Sud Minute, which peaked at number four and cemented their presence in French rap.
