Biography
Australian band 1927's debut album ...Ish! was a top seller in the '80s, blending soft rock with a fairy-tale narrative. Formed by guitarist Gary Frost and singer Eric Weideman, the band achieved success with the hit single "That's When I Think of You" and won the ARIA award for Best Debut Single in 1988.
Despite initial success, 1927's subsequent albums did not match the popularity of their debut. The band disbanded in 1993, with Weideman pursuing a solo career that included the release of his solo single "Nothing I Can Do" in 1996.
