Alaska y Dinarama

In 1978, Olvido Gara, Nacho Canut, and Carlos Berlanga formed the music project Kaka de Luxe, a part of the Spanish new wave movement Movida Madrileña. With the addition of Ana Curra and Eduardo Benavente, the band changed its name to Alaska y los Pegamoides and achieved international success with hits like "Bailando." Following the departure of Curra and Benavente, the band rebranded as Alaska y Dinarama in 1983, releasing albums such as Canciones Profanas and Deseo. Throughout the 1980s, Alaska y Dinarama continued to produce music, including the albums No Es Pecado and Diez, before disbanding.
