Folk singer, songwriter, and musician Zhao Lei was born in Beijing, China on July 20, 1986. Starting his career in 2003, Zhao began performing acoustic shows in local clubs and gained recognition for his personal songwriting style. He toured China in 2009, established his recording studio, Anti Beat, and released his debut album, "Zhao Xiaolei," in 2011. Zhao Lei continued to build his reputation with subsequent albums, including "Jim’s Restaurant" in 2014 and "Unable to Grow Up" in 2017. He also participated in the fifth season of "I Am a Singer" in 2017 and made a chart comeback in 2022 with his fourth album, "Shuqian Street Boys."
