Zack de la Rocha, known for his vocal delivery and political activism, gained fame as the frontman of Rage Against the Machine in the '90s. Raised in Irvine, CA, he was influenced by hardcore punk music and later embraced hip-hop, forming the band with Tom Morello. De la Rocha's activism extended to various causes, leading him to leave the band in 2000.

Following his departure, de la Rocha collaborated with various artists but remained relatively quiet until 2008 when he formed One Day as a Lion with Jon Theodore. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in championing liberal causes and using his music as a platform for political messages.
