Eduardo Sarante, known as "Yiyo Sarante," is a salsa singer born in Baní, Peravia Province, Dominican Republic. He comes from a musical family, being the seventh of nine children, five of whom are musicians and singers. Sarante began his music career as a percussionist in Dominican orchestras and later transitioned to singing in 1999 in Bávaro, Dominican Republic. In 2003, he joined his brother Julián's orchestra, Oro Duro.
In 2010, Sarante embarked on his solo project with the guidance of his brother José Sarante, also known as "Mello," a musician, percussionist, and music producer from the group "Aventura." Yiyo Sarante brings a fresh approach to Dominican salsa, blending traditional elements with international influences.
