Yampi, born Jean Pierre Soto Pascual on March 5, 1990, is a prominent urban music producer hailing from Puerto Rico with Puerto Rican and Dominican heritage. Growing up in Santurce, P.R, the Bronx, N.Y, and Gaspar Hernández, R.D, he entered the music industry at 17, producing hits for artists like Ñengo Flow, Arcangel, and Farruko.
In 2014, Yampi independently released his debut album "24 KILATES," featuring collaborations with established and emerging artists such as Anuel AA. Over the years, he has been instrumental in introducing Trap sensation Anuel AA to the urban music scene with hits like "La 69" and "Soldado y Profeta." Yampi's production credits also include successful Latin tracks like "En La Intimidad" and "El Farsante," as well as collaborations in the Anglo market such as "Fuego de Calor" with Tyga and Ozuna. In 2020, he continued his prolific output with hits like "Rifles Rusos" featuring Tego Calderon and Anuel AA.
