Yasirun Yasin Shaban, known by her stage name "Yammi," was born in Tanga on May 20, 2002. Raised in Dar es Salaam, she discovered her passion for music during her primary school years and gained confidence through talent competitions in high school. Influenced by Indian music, Yammi's dream of becoming a musician became a reality after her first studio session.
In 2022, Yammi's TikTok videos caught the attention of her role model, Nandy, inspiring her to pursue a career in music. Despite having other talents in cooking and painting, Yammi decided to focus on music wholeheartedly. Her debut extended playlist, "Three Hearts," showcases her emotions and marks the beginning of her promising music career.
