Valentin Elizalde, a Mexican banda singer and son of Lalo "El Gallo" Elizalde, was born on February 1, 1979, in Hitonhueca, Sonora. Despite initially pursuing studies at the University of Sonora, Elizalde transitioned to a professional music career at a young age. He released his debut solo album, Regresan los Mafiosos, in 1999, followed by annual releases that solidified his presence in the norte├▒o genre. In 2006, Elizalde contributed the song "Sobre la Tumba de Mi Padre" to the soundtrack of the Mexican film Al Otro Lado.
Tragically, Valentin Elizalde was fatally shot at the age of 27 on November 25, 2006, in Reynosa, shortly after a performance at a local fair. Speculation arose that his murder was linked to his lyrics referencing Los Zetas, a group involved in the Mexican drug trade. Elizalde's untimely death was mourned by his fans, leading to numerous posthumous releases and tributes in his honor.
