Biography

Srinisha Jayaseelan (born 26 September 1999 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu) has carved a place for herself in the Tamil Film Industry as a versatile Indian playback singer capable of putting her voice to movies and TV shows alike. After first finding her place in the spotlight on the second season of India's Super Singer Junior in 2009, she spent the early years of her career building her CV in various other music competitions for Vijay TV. After working as a guest vocalist and backing performer through the '00s and early '10s, she made her debut as a playback singer in 2016 when she sang the "Maths Tough" song for music director Ilaiyaraaja in the Indian Tamil language comedy-drama film Amma Kanakku. In 2018, she added the song "Vilambara Idaiveli" from the Indian Tamil-language action thriller Imaikkaa Nodigal to her repertoire and has since contributed to a range of films as well as working on non-film songs like 2020's "Kanna Veesi" with Rahul Hariharan and 2022's "Yaen Marandhaai" composed by Sam C.S.
