Biography

Say Anything, fronted by Max Bemis, gained fame in 2004 with their acclaimed album ...Is a Real Boy and hit single "Alive with the Glory of Love." The band evolved their emo-pop-punk sound on subsequent albums like Say Anything and Hebrews before disbanding in 2019 with the release of their final album, Oliver Appropriate. Say Anything regrouped in 2023 for live shows and dropped singles "Psyche" and "Are You (In) There?"

Formed in 2000 in Los Angeles, Say Anything, led by Max Bemis, debuted with EPs and the album Baseball before a genre shift on ...Is a Real Boy in 2004. Despite struggles, including Bemis's bipolar disorder, the band signed with J Records and achieved success with reissues and tours. Their discography includes In Defense of the Genre, Say Anything, Anarchy, My Dear, and Hebrews. After a surprise album in 2016 and the announcement of their final release, Oliver Appropriate, Say Anything reunited in 2023 for live performances and new music.
