Sarah Davachi, a Canadian composer, crafts immersive, layered drones with analog and modular synthesizers, along with acoustic instruments like strings and pianos. Drawing inspiration from minimalist composers Eliane Radigue and LaMonte Young, her compositions explore psychoacoustics through subtle harmonic variations. Davachi holds a master's degree in electronic music and recording media from Mills College and has released several works, including All My Circles Run and Gave in Rest on labels like Students of Decay and Ba Da Bing.
Working at the National Music Centre in Calgary since 2007, Davachi has contributed to music education and instrument archiving. Her debut recording, The Untuning of the Sky, was released by Full Spectrum Records in 2013, followed by subsequent releases on labels such as Important Records and Constellation Tatsu.
