Sakanaction, meaning "Fish Action," is a Japanese band known for blending alt-rock, pop, dance, and new wave genres. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi, the group initially gained attention at the 2006 Rising Sun Rock Fest before releasing their debut album "Go to the Future" and single "Words/Sample" in 2007. The band expanded with members Motoharu Iwadera, Ami Kusakari, Emi Okazaki, and Keiichi Ejima, and continued to build their presence through performances at events like Summer Sonic and the release of albums like "Shinshiro" in 2009, supported by the Sakanquarium2009 tour.
