Formed in Miami in 1988, Saigon Kick quickly gained recognition in the region and signed with Third Stone/Atlantic in 1990. The band's self-titled debut LP garnered critical acclaim, while their sophomore album, The Lizard, propelled them to mainstream success with the hit single "Love Is on the Way" reaching number 12 on the charts and earning the album a gold certification. Following the album's release, Chris McLernon joined the band for their extensive Lizard tour.
In 1993, Saigon Kick explored new musical territories with their third album, Water, expanding their fan base in Asia and Europe. The band continued to evolve their sound with their fourth album, Devil in the Details (1995), released by Pony Canyon in Japan and CMC International in America, solidifying their status as a diverse and respected force in the rock music scene.
