Biography

British producer and singer/songwriter S-X emerged from the U.K. grime scene with his debut track "Woooo" in 2010, showcasing his blend of trap beats, pop hooks, and R&B. Transitioning from behind-the-scenes work to his own material, he released a series of mixtapes before dropping his debut album, 2022's things change, and following up with his sophomore effort, Anywhere But Here, in late 2023.

Raised in Wolverhampton, England, S-X, also known as Sam Gumbley, honed his music skills as a teenager, starting with drums and moving into production. Collaborating with artists like Chip, Skepta, and Lil Wayne, he made a name for himself with his catchy pop, rap, and R&B singles. After a string of successful mixtapes and EPs, S-X's debut album marked a new chapter in his career, leading up to the release of his second album at the end of 2023.
