Raulin Rosendo, a Dominican Republic-born sonero, established himself as a salsa star after moving to New York City. Beginning his career at age 12 in merengue groups, he later collaborated with prominent acts such as Fernandito Villalona and Conjunto Clásico. Known as "the Angry Sonero," Rosendo's solo debut in 1991 with Salsa, Solamente Salsa led to hits like "Amor en Secreto" and "Santo Domingo," propelling his success with subsequent albums like ¡Lo Maximo! and ¡Contrólate!. His discography includes standout releases such as Donde Me Coja la Noche (1999), Fama Es Peligrosa (2003), and Dame Otra Oportunidad (2006).

Born in Santo Domingo in 1957, Raulin Rosendo's roots in Afro-Antilles music shaped his musical journey, eventually making him a significant figure in the salsa scene. Moving to New York City, he collaborated with producer Ricky Gonzalez and achieved commercial success with albums like Dominicano Para El Mundo (1996) and Llego la Ley (1998).
