Biography

Rampage, a childhood friend of Busta Rhymes from Brooklyn, joined the Flipmode Squad, a group of rappers centered around Busta Rhymes for his first solo album, The Coming in 1996. The success of the album led Rampage to secure his own solo deal in 1997. Despite starting their music journey together in Brooklyn, Rampage and Busta Rhymes pursued separate paths before reuniting in the music industry.

Rampage signed with Rowdy Records in 1994, releasing his debut album Ramp Sack, but later left due to the label's lack of hip-hop support. Both Rampage and Busta Rhymes collaborated on the iconic remix of Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear" in 1994 and worked on multiple tracks for Busta Rhymes' The Coming. Rampage's solo album Scouts Honor...By Way of Blood was released in July 1997 under Elektra/Asylum, featuring contributions from the Flipmode Squad.
