Rainbow

Rainbow was formed in the 1970s by former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and vocalist Ronnie James Dio. The band released eight albums during its decade-long run, with a lineup that evolved over time. Rainbow's music spanned various styles, contributing to the development of heavy metal and hard rock.

After its dissolution in 1984, Ritchie Blackmore briefly revived Rainbow in the 1990s before moving on to other musical projects. In 2015, he announced a series of concerts under the name Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, performing both new material and classic hits. The band continued to tour and released a live album in 2017.
