Biography

Spanish pop/rock band Radio Futura, originally known as Futurama, formed in 1978 under the direction of keyboardist Herminio Molero. The band's live debut took place at the Ateneo de Madrid in October 1979, followed by an opening slot for Elvis Costello the following year. After signing with Hispavox, they released their debut album "Música Moderna." In 1985, Radio Futura switched to Ariola and released "De Un País En Llamas," followed by the critically acclaimed "La Canción de Juan Perro" in 1986, recorded in New York. The band's final live album was recorded in October 1988 before disbanding following the release of "Tierra Para Bailar" in 1992.
