Originating in Los Angeles, this band gained recognition for their fast-paced, technically skilled rock music characterized by melodic elements. The group's initial lineup featured Paul Gilbert on guitar, Jeff Martin on vocals, John Alderete on bass, and Harry Gschoesser on drums, with Scott Travis taking over drum duties in 1986. The addition of Bruce Bouillet as a second guitarist marked a peak period for the band before Gilbert's departure in 1988 to join Mr. Big, leading to the band's eventual breakup and Bouillet's solo endeavors. Martin later transitioned to drumming with Badlands after the band dissolved.
