Biography

Emerging in 2004, Quiero Club quickly made waves in the music scene with members Marcela Viejo, Gustavo Mauricio Hernandez, Priscila González, Luis Fara, and Boscop Benavente gracing major venues and festivals across Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Spain. Their collaboration with Jorge González on "Minutos de Aire" earned them the coveted #1 song of the year on Mexico City's Reactor 105.7 in 2009, while their LP "El Techo es el Suelo" garnered them Mexico's Indie O Music Award for "Best Electronic Album" in 2014 and a Latin Grammy nomination for "Best art/package" in 2013.

Quiero Club's musical contributions extend beyond their discography, with scoring credits for Mexican films like "Efectos Secundarios," "Casi Divas," "Abolicion de la Propiedad," "Alicia en el País de María," and "The Alien and Me," as well as international series and films such as "The L Word" and "Que Viva la Música." With their album "Oportunidad de Oro," Quiero Club solidified their position as one of the leading and most innovative bands in the Latin American independent music scene.
