Biography

Quarterflash, a sax-heavy pop/rock band formed in 1980, emerged from the merger of Oregon-based acts Seafood Mama and Pilot. Their eponymous debut album in 1981 achieved massive success with hits like "Harden My Heart" and "Find Another Fool," selling over two million copies. While subsequent albums did not replicate this level of commercial triumph, Quarterflash maintained a steady presence through the mid-'80s with notable tracks like "Night Shift" and "Take Me to Heart." Despite a decline in chart success, the band released albums like Girl in the Wind in 1984 and Back into Blue in 1985 before transitioning to live performances led by the Rosses after an unreleased album in 1995.
