Peedi Crakk, known for his distinctive high nasal tone and stop-and-go flow, rose to fame through guest appearances on tracks by Roc-a-Fella labelmates and State Property members Beanie Sigel and Freeway. Initially signed to Roc-a-Fella in 2001, he gained recognition for singles like "One for Peedi Crakk" and standout features on albums like Jay-Z's The Blueprint². Following the dissolution of State Property and Roc-a-Fella in 2005, Peedi faced career setbacks but eventually signed with Jay-Z at Def Jam before parting ways in 2008.

Despite initial success, Peedi Crakk's career faced challenges with the breakup of State Property and Roc-a-Fella in 2005. Refusing to align with Dame Dash, he signed briefly with Jay-Z at Def Jam but encountered delays with his debut album. Peedi's tensions with the label escalated, leading to his departure in 2008 and subsequent release of Camel Face Hunting Season with Amalgam Digital. His career was marked by collaborations with artists like the Roots and public disputes with Jay-Z.
