Biography

Pedro Infante, a renowned Mexican actor and musician, was born into a humble family and began his musical journey under the guidance of his father, Delfino Infante García. After forming a small orchestra and later joining Orquesta Estrella de Culiacan, Infante transitioned to a solo career in 1939, performing in Mexico City and eventually releasing his first record in December 1943. He gained recognition for his acting, receiving a Best Actor award from the Mexican Academy in 1956 for his role in La Vida No Vale Nada. Despite an initial setback with his early film, Cuando Habla el Corazón, Infante went on to become a beloved figure in Mexican entertainment.

Known as the King of Mexican Bolero and the Idol from Guamuchil, Pedro Infante tragically passed away in a plane crash on April 15, 1957. Throughout his career, he left a lasting impact on Mexican music and film, solidifying his status as a cultural icon remembered for his contributions to both industries.
