Paul Hardcastle, a London-based electronic producer and keyboardist, has maintained a successful career for over three decades with his blend of dance, R&B, and jazz influences. Known for his synth-based style that leans towards instrumental dance music and electro-R&B, Hardcastle achieved widespread recognition with hits like "19" and his Jazzmasters series. Throughout his career, he has consistently released albums across various series, including chart-topping records like Hardcastle 3, The Chill Lounge, Vol. 2, and Movin & Groovin.

Born in Kensington in 1957, Hardcastle developed a passion for music and keyboards in his youth, influenced by bands like Hawkwind and Deep Purple. After early success with singles like "A Horse with No Name" and "19," he founded Total Control Records and continued to release music that explored his sophisticated blend of pop, dance, and R&B. Hardcastle diversified his offerings in the '90s with the Jazzmasters and Hardcastle series, collaborating with various vocalists and musicians. His albums consistently charted, with releases like Hardcastle 8 and Hardcastle 9 reaching the Top Ten on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart.
