Redonditos de Ricota, a prominent rock band in Argentina, originated in La Plata in 1976. Founded by the trio of "Indio" Solari, "Skay" Beilinson, and Carmen Castro "La Negra Poli," with artistic guidance from Ricardo Cohen, known as "Rocambole," the band gained popularity in the '80s after initially performing in undergound venues.

Known for their grassroots promotion, the band released eleven official albums and performed numerous sold-out concerts before disbanding in November 2001, leading to the members pursuing solo careers. Redonditos de Ricota's music continues to be celebrated as emblematic of Argentine rock.
