Pascal Rogé

Pianist Pascal Rogé, a third-generation French musician, has excelled in mastering the modern French piano repertoire from a young age. Admitted to the Paris Conservatoire at 11 and winning first prizes for piano and chamber music at 15, his breakthrough came with the first prize in the Jacques Thibaud International Competition in 1971. Rogé's repertoire extends beyond French composers to include works by German masters like Haydn, Mozart, Brahms, and Beethoven, with his recordings receiving numerous awards.

Known for his sensitive interpretations, Rogé has recorded complete cycles of Ravel, Poulenc, and Satie, among others. His collaborations with orchestras have garnered praise for their faultless musicianship, making him a favorite of conductors such as Charles Dutoit and Kurt Masur. Rogé's partnership with his wife, Ami Rogé, includes premiering commissioned works like the two-piano concerto by Matthew Hindson in 2011. Despite a busy international schedule, Rogé continues to showcase his French elegance and stylistic approach in both solo performances and orchestral collaborations.
