Formed in 2007 in Charlotte, NC, Paper Tongues blend rock, rap, funk, pop, and soul, drawing inspiration from diverse artists like Steve Perry and Grandmaster Flash. The band, comprised of eight musicians including guitarists Devin Forbes and Joey Signa, found their unique sound through improvisational sessions, eventually relocating to California to collaborate with producers such as John Fields, Brian West, Billy Hume, and Mark Endert. Their debut EP, Ride to California, was released in 2009, followed by a self-titled album in 2010. Paper Tongues' eclectic approach to music continues to resonate with audiences seeking a fusion of genres and influences.
