Biography
Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist James Grundler, Los Angeles-based rock group Paloalto was formed in the late '90s. Grundler recruited lead guitarist Jason Johnson and bassist Alex Parnell, with drummer Steve Clark later joining the band. Paloalto signed with Rick Rubin's American Recordings in 1999 and released their self-titled debut album in 2000. After lineup changes, their second album, "Heroes and Villains," was released in 2003.
Paloalto, named after Grundler's preschool rather than the city in California, gained attention for their sonically rich sound and heartfelt songwriting. Despite changes in band members, the group continued to captivate audiences with their music, showcasing their talent and versatility in the alternative rock scene.
