Biography
Otto began his music career as a percussionist for Nação Zumbi and Mundo Livre S/A, contributing to their debut albums. Upon returning to Brazil from a two-year stint in France, he collaborated with Chico Science and Fred 04, key figures in the mangue beat movement. Otto's acclaimed album "Samba Pra Burro" seamlessly fused the traditional rhythms of Pernambuco with modern genres like drum'n'bass, rap, and electronica, earning recognition as the best album of 1998 by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics. Since then, Otto has continued to captivate audiences both in Brazil and internationally with his distinctive sound.
