Formed in 2009, New Medicine is a modern hard rock band that infuses the energy of hard rock with the emotion of post-grunge and a hint of hip hop, creating a dynamic sound that balances swagger and vulnerability. Their debut album "Race You to the Bottom" in 2011 landed them on the Billboard 200, while their sophomore release "Breaking The Model" in 2014 has garnered over 75 million streams on Spotify. After a hiatus in 2015, the band returned with singles like "Die Trying," "Fuck It," "Life Like This," and "Own It," featuring a collaboration with Adelitas Way. Frontman Scherer, also known as Jake Rose, is now based in Nashville where he writes and produces music for country and rock artists, with a new EP from New Medicine set for release in 2022 alongside reunion tour dates.
