Nels Cline

Guitarist Nels Cline gained recognition in the jazz, rock, and avant-garde scenes prior to joining Wilco in 2004, expanding his audience significantly. Known for his exceptional talent in both rock and jazz, Cline has collaborated with various artists, recorded film scores, and led multiple groups, showcasing his diverse musical abilities since the late 1970s.

Born in Los Angeles in 1956, Cline emerged as a prominent figure in the improvisational community, eventually forming Quartet Music with bassist Eric Von Essen and violinist Jeff Gauthier. Throughout his career, Cline has released numerous albums, collaborated with a wide range of musicians, and ventured into different genres, establishing himself as a versatile and influential guitarist in the music industry.
