Nekfeu, born Ken Samarás in La Trinité, Alpes-Maritimes, gained recognition in the Paris rap scene through open-mike battles as a teenager. He was a member of hip-hop groups S-Crew, 1995, and 5 Majeur, releasing several albums with each. In 2014, he formed the group L'Entourage and continued to collaborate with various acts.
In 2015, Nekfeu released his first solo album, Feu, followed by Cyborg in 2016, which reached number one in France. He made his acting debut in the 2017 film Tout Nous Sépare, alongside Catherine Deneuve. Nekfeu's third album, Les Étoiles Vagabondes, coincided with his directorial debut of the same name, both achieving success in France.
