Ned's Atomic Dustbin, known for their punk-funk fusion, gained a following in the early '90s amidst England's fading Madchester scene. The group, featuring dual bassists, rose to fame with their debut album God Fodder in 1991, but struggled to replicate this success with subsequent releases like Are You Normal? in 1992 and Brainbloodvolume in 1995, where they experimented with techno influences. Despite their popularity in the U.K., Ned's Atomic Dustbin never quite broke through to mainstream success in the U.S. due to their distinctive sound and evolving musical direction.
