Neal Schon is a legendary guitarist best known for his role as the co-founder and longtime guitarist of Journey. With his virtuosic playing and pop sensibilities, Schon has been a key figure in delivering iconic melodic hard rock hits like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Any Way You Want It." Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 with Journey, Schon continues to lead the band, releasing their 15th studio album, Freedom, in 2022.
Born in 1954, Schon joined Santana at a young age before co-founding Journey in 1973. Throughout his career, he has explored various musical avenues, from collaborations with artists like Jan Hammer to forming the supergroup Bad English. Schon's solo endeavors have showcased his instrumental prowess, with releases like The Calling and Vortex highlighting his deft playing and compositional skills. Despite internal conflicts, Journey has persevered, touring and releasing new material, including their recent album Freedom.
