Natalie Maines rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the Dixie Chicks, winning numerous awards before pursuing a solo career. Daughter of renowned musician Lloyd Maines, she left Berklee School of Music to focus on her professional singing career, collaborating with artists across genres. Maines made headlines for her public feuds with Toby Keith and controversial comments about then-president George W. Bush, leading to the Dixie Chicks being blacklisted but eventually finding success with their album Taking the Long Way.
