Biography

Singer/songwriter Matt Hires launched his music career at 22 with the Live from the Hotel Cafe EP, showcasing his introspective songwriting. Originally inspired by his father's gift of a 1977 acoustic guitar, Hires formed the band Brer before pursuing a solo path, opening for artists like Marc Broussard and the Dave Matthews Band. Following his debut EP, Hires released his first full-length album Take Us to the Start in 2009, followed by EPs A to B and Live Sessions in 2010, and his second album This World Won't Last Forever, But Tonight We Can Pretend in 2013.
