Formed in 2002, German power metal supergroup Masterplan was founded by Ark singer Jorn Lande, guitarist Roland Grapow, drummer Ulli Kusch, former Iron Saviour bassist Jan S. Eckert, and keyboard player Axel Mackenrott. They released an EP titled Enlighten Me and their debut album in 2003, followed by subsequent albums with various lineup changes. Their 2017 release, Pumpkings, featured re-recordings of Grapow's songs from his time with Helloween.
Masterplan's discography showcases their evolution with releases such as Aeronautics in 2005 and Time to Be King in 2010, which saw the return of Jorn Lande on vocals. Through lineup changes and collaborations with notable musicians, the band has maintained their signature power metal sound and continued to captivate audiences with their energetic performances.
